The Hand Held Remote Camera Positioner can be used to create effective transition scenes using moving camera. At the end of a scene, a camera move is made by keying from the motion within a scene (if any), and the camera is moved away from the scene space or up close to some symbolic person/object within the scene. This allows for a scene changing cut to be applied at the end of the shot, with the transition already initiated in the imagery. Similarly, the process may be applied in reverse for the start of a new scene. This process is typical of transition shots using moving camera technique.

Such moving camera shots typically use a crane, dolly and/or track, and require time to set up and break down. With such labor, these moving camera shots have typically absorbed disproportionate assets of the production budget and schedule, until now. Moving camera shots are easily and naturally captured using Hand Held Remote Camera Positioner technology. The operator simply practices the shot to the liking of the director, and then captures a take. Better yet, the operator captures a series of takes with some variation among them for later selection during editing. Thats 'coverage'.

By using Hand Held Remote Camera Positioner technology, these moving camera shots can be accomplished in less time than by using traditional moving camera support means such as a crane, dolly and/or track system. More effective shot acqutsition gives relief to both the production schedule and the production budget. Brownstone Beam is a smart choice for production involving moving camera.
