Positioner

The major difference between a Hand Held Camera Positioner and traditional camera jibs or cranes lies in the much larger maneuvering envelope of the Camera Positioner. The operator may rotate and extend/retract the extremely stiff, light weight positioner through any orientation during a shot. Changing from an "overslung" to an "underslung" configuration simply requires a different grip on behalf of the operator. Such versatility allows for an expanded range of views that would be unavailable using any other hand held or body supported production gear. Because it is hand held, very little time or effort are required to change shots or scenes. This versatility also helps reduce or even eliminate production costs by reducing logistics on the set and in the field.

The portability and wide maneuverability of the hand held positioner system makes it an extremely effective production tool for capturing the widest variety of different shots per given time. Translating shots, steady shots, vertical moves, etc. For traditional or modern camera technique, hand held camera positioning technology can expand the production envelope.

Moving shots don't always have to move horizontally. Vertical camera moves no longer require the budget resource of a traditional crane. Visual storytelling may now take place as easily in the vertical domain as in the horizontal. Trick shots such as tilted or spinning/rolling camera moves no longer require the use of associated specialty hardware. Hand Held Remote Camera Positioner technology makes all of this possible.
